WHAT I LEARNED: 1. Crying in a meeting is an expression of words I cannot say. 2. My inventories of other people are usually not about their assets.

WHAT I LEARNED: 1. This week has been one of those days! 😉 2. If I’m truly present, then I’m not projecting.

WHAT I LEARNED: 1. Even though the grass may actually be greener on the other side, I can be content & happy with the grass on my side! It’s my lawn of serenity. 2. Detachment helps me put spiritual distance between me & those I love.

WHAT I LEARNED: “We” is such a small word, yet it has such a big meaning! (See “Hope for Today” (item # B-27), page 181.)

WHAT I LEARNED: 1. You can’t make sense out of nonsense. 2. Going to meetings are great, but it wasn’t until I did service work, that I discovered fellowship.

WHAT I LEARNED: Going to an Al-Anon meeting is usually not a first choice when one is having a good day. But even on a good day, it gets even better after I’ve gone!

WHAT I LEARNED: Guilt is the enemy of detachment. I must be diligent with detachment & guard against feeling guilty about it.

WHAT I LEARNED: This is the only Al-Anon meeting on the University of Central Florida campus. Because it’s an “open” meeting, they get quite a few UCF students attending that are majoring in various health care professions. It’s nice to know that even though they might not ever return, they just might continue to carry the Al-Anon message to…

WHAT I LEARNED: If I see another Al-Anon member out in public & they turn away, it’s not that they’re shunning me — they are showing me what true anonymity is!
